LEXICAL COLLOCATION AND TEXTUAL COHESION IN STUDENT’S ENGLISH WRITING DISCUSSION TEXT

<p><strong>Abstract</strong><strong>: </strong>The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the form significant lexical collocation in student's English writing discussion text, (2) process creates cohesion and (3) cultural reflection displayed by structure textual text. This applies a mixture descriptive quantitative qualitative methods describing research findings. The data source is results texts 3 PKBM Karawang. Data that has been documented total 30 with 5274 words 1664 types words. author uses help computer application called Antconc obtain data. findings show collocations produced students Paket C text are L1 (15%), L2 (34%), L3 (18%), L4 (4%), L5 L7 (11%); reference personal (51%), demonstrative (30%), comparative (10%); conjunction additive (44%), adversative temporal (5%), causal (36%). representation found issue raised as title sourced from daily activities used claim assumed describe students' ideas opinions shows able get special place learning improve ability PKBM.</p>
